Kitchen Manager, Day Release

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen team in our new location, Day Release at Signal Yard, Milton Park, in producing wood fired pizzas, sandwiches, salads and a range of other seasonal products.

Desired experience: at least one year of kitchen management or head chef experience 

Main responsibilities and required skills:

Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule kitchen employees to ensure efficient workflow and high performance

Food Preparation Oversight: Supervise food prep and cooking, monitor portion sizes, presentation, and quality to maintain consistency

Inventory and Supply Management: Order ingredients and supplies, maintain stock levels, and perform regular inventory assessments

Menu Planning: Collaborate with chefs to develop menus, implement new recipes, and adjust offerings based on demand or seasonal availability

Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce sanitation standards, ensure proper food storage, and maintain compliance with local health regulations

Operational Coordination: Work with management to ensure smooth kitchen operations, handle customer feedback, and address kitchen-related issues

Cost Control: Monitor food costs, manage kitchen budgets, and maintain weekly or monthly cost reports

Job Type: Full-time 45 hours/week, permanent

Pay: £35,000-£40,000 dependent on experience
